WWE Drops CM Punk for Jey Uso in Big Survivor Series Surprise!

WWE Drops CM Punk for Jey Uso in Big Survivor Series Surprise!

So, it looks like WWE made a pretty unexpected move by swapping out CM Punk for Jey Uso in the promotion for Survivor Series: WarGames. This is a huge deal because Punk hasn’t missed a major WWE event since his big comeback at SummerSlam earlier this year. But for some reason, he’s been pulled from the Survivor Series ads. Weird, right?

Here’s a quick catch-up if you’re not following the drama. Punk and Drew McIntyre have been going at it all year long. After losing to Drew at SummerSlam, Punk finally got his revenge in an epic Strap Match at the Bash in Berlin. Now, the two are set to settle things once and for all in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood on October 5.

Before all this, there were rumors flying around that Punk might challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames. But now that WWE’s put Jey Uso in Punk’s place on their website, I’m not sure that’s happening anymore. Kind of a bummer because that would’ve been awesome to see.

Other big names still advertised for Survivor Series include Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre (of course), Gunther, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley. So yeah, still a solid lineup, but losing Punk in the mix kinda changes the vibe, you know?

Drew McIntyre Talks About His CM Punk Feud

Now, Drew McIntyre’s been pretty vocal about his beef with CM Punk. The guy literally blames Punk for ruining his chance at being WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania XL. According to Drew, Punk’s been screwing with his career nonstop, like keeping him from winning titles and getting opportunities.

During an interview at Fanatics Fest NYC, Drew talked about how they’re gonna keep fighting until one of them leaves WWE or ends up on a different brand. He said Punk made it clear that he’s not going to stop messing with him until he’s gone. And honestly, Drew sounds pretty fed up about it. He even mentioned that one of them is gonna have to be “exiled” from WWE to settle things for good.

Now, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray suggested that their match at Bad Blood should have an “I Quit” stipulation. That would be intense! It’s gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out. Will this feud finally come to an end? Who knows? We’ll just have to wait and see.
