Mods That Keep the Adventure Going
The modding scene for Fallout 4 is thriving. Whether it’s mods that stretch the map’s boundaries or ones that toss in spooky quests with sweet weapon rewards, fans are pumping out free, creative updates for Bethesda’s epic RPG. This time, we’re spotlighting the Locked and Loaded mod, dreamed up by RascalArt.
What’s New with Locked And Loaded
Freshly posted to NexusMods this week, this mod beefs up the Gunners faction with a crew of custom robots, plus some sharp outfits and gear. If you’re new to the game, the Gunners are a no-nonsense mercenary outfit you’ll spot around the Commonwealth’s hotspots.
Thanks to Locked and Loaded, you’ll now encounter these Gunners with their latest robotic sidekicks. The lineup’s diverse: Scrappers are scrappy little bots meant for scavenging and hauling, while Scrapper Packmasters are upgraded models that tag along with MULES. Those MULES are four-legged beasts of burden—great at carrying loads and dishing out some hurt.
Then there’s the Heavy Assaultrons, big and tough with heavy-duty weapons, and the Warmasters—the meanest of the bunch, sporting twin lasers, rocket launchers, and a relentless Hunter-killer drone. “Keep moving and watch your back—those drones don’t quit,” RascalArt advised. You’ll only find three Warmasters out there: one in Quincy, one by Gunners Plaza, and one prowling the Glowing Sea.
A Fight to Sink Your Teeth Into
Running into these new enemies means a do-or-die showdown. If you’re itching for a grittier Fallout 4 vibe, Locked and Loaded delivers the goods. It’s a solid way to keep the wasteland alive while we wait for Fallout 5.
