Okay, so let me tell you about Alexandra Roach. She’s this awesome Welsh actress, and she’s super proud of her acting career. But there’s one project that really stands out for her – it’s called The Light in the Hall.
In January 2023, she returned to her hometown, Ammanford, for this project, and that’s when things got extra special for her. She wasn’t just back for work but also had her baby girl with her! Yeah, she just had a baby, and this was her first acting job since. So, pretty big deal, right?
They were shooting near Llandovery and Llandeilo for this series, which was filmed in both English and Welsh. So for Alexandra, it was like coming full circle, working so close to home and bringing her family along for the ride.
She mentioned how cool it was to be filming just 10 minutes from her parents’ house. Like, how often does that happen? She got to spend time with family and friends and even introduced her baby to the Welsh language. Alexandra had always wanted her kid to speak Welsh, but since they live in England, she wasn’t sure how to make that happen. But while she was back home, surrounded by all the Welsh speakers, it just kinda clicked into place.
Alexandra’s got this whole “privacy thing” going on with her baby. She hasn’t revealed her daughter’s name or much about her personal life. In fact, she and her husband, Jack Scales, don’t really post much about their family. But back in March 2021, Alexandra announced she was expecting their first child on Facebook with a super cute message, “Can’t wait to meet my new pal.”
On her Instagram, she mostly shares stuff about her work, while Jack occasionally gives us tiny glimpses into their family life. It’s clear, though, they’re having a blast together – traveling, going to events, and just making the most of life.
Oh, and here’s a little bonus info: Alexandra Roach was born in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, on August 20, 1987. Her dad, Jeff Roach, and even some of her siblings were in the police force at one point. She married Jack in 2018, but they actually got engaged in 2015 after meeting on Facebook.
