When it initially touched down on the Amiga, X-Out disrupted the genre filled with space shooters. Instead of blasting enemies through the galaxy, you plunged into the oceanic deep, battling crazy underwater chaos. The highlight? It’s a gory shop system. You’d modify ships, weapons, and components to your liking. Each go-through was different—sometimes a riot, sometimes disaster—but always fun.

Now it’s 2025, and X-Out’s making a splash once more. Rainbow Arts, ININ, and Ziggurat collaborated on a remake that retains the heart while turbocharging everything. The graphics? Overhauled big time. Those antiquated sprites now are high-res stunners with particle effects, dramatic lighting, and more. The 8 stages, enemies, and bosses? Jaw-dropping now!
