You start as a scrappy newcomer, picking from three badass roles: Fighter—a close-up bruiser who hits hard and grabs attention; Mystic—a magic-wielder who bends arcane power to their will; or Bandit—a speedy scrapper who’s killer with ranged shots and quick blades. ATLYSS shines brightest online, but it’s just as fun offline—nothing gets cut out either way. Build your own character with five races to pick from, messing around with colors, heads, and body shapes.

Your journey’s saved right on your device, easy to dig up from the game’s files whenever you need it. Kick off in solo mode, then jump into an online game later without losing your spot—or switch it around, no sweat. Link up with pals to take down monsters, scout new turf, and pitch in to save the world’s last safe hideout. The visuals have this cool throwback feel, like the blocky 3D games from the PS1 and early PS2 era. The character creator’s a total standout—tons of options to tweak your bizarre little beastie just how you like. That said, it’s got a thing for wild, over-the-top body sizes, which I’m all about, but it might not click for everyone. Lucky for us, there are settings to mellow it out and nix some of the jiggle if you want a smoother ride.
