let’s talk about Sarah Nicholson, who was once married to the famous musician JD Souther. Now, most people know about JD’s first wife, Alexandra Sliwin, because they were married for about a year before splitting up. But then, JD married his second wife, Sarah Nicholson. Unlike the public drama of his first marriage, JD and Sarah kept their relationship super low-key. That’s how Sarah got good at making these big, fancy meals for guests. But her mom didn’t let her eat sweets, so Sarah would sneak in sugar whenever she had the chance.
She even tried making meringue mice once, but it didn’t turn out so great. The mice were a disaster, but she still ate them, which is kinda funny.
Sarah’s candy journey officially started in 2011 when she tried a handmade marshmallow at a restaurant called Cha Chah. She was blown away by how much better it tasted compared to the store-bought ones. That moment inspired her to get creative with candy, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Fast forward to 2021, Sarah was working on this cool new chocolate called D8 Dream Drops, which is a Belgian milk chocolate mixed with coconut, honeycomb coffee, sea salt, and poppy candy. Sounds yummy, right?
Her candy business, Bang Candy Company, is a big deal. She’s been on TV shows, made sweets for special events, and even taught classes about candy making. Sarah’s done a lot!
As for how Sarah and JD met, it all started when they crossed paths during a vacation in Ireland. JD was on an extended trip, and they hit it off. They got married in 2004 and stayed together until 2010. They lived in Nashville with Sarah’s daughter, Anja Nicholson, for a while.
But after the divorce, JD moved to a farm outside of Nashville. Nobody really knows why they split, but that’s how it ended.
Before Sarah, JD had a pretty wild love life. He was first married to Alexandra Sliwin, who he met in LA in the ’60s. They tied the knot in 1969, and JD even convinced her to quit her girl group, Honey Ltd. But their marriage didn’t last, and they split in 1972.
JD also dated a bunch of famous women, like Judee Sill, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Judy Collins, and Stevie Nicks. He was even in a serious relationship with Linda Ronstadt during the 1970s. They were one of the hottest couples in LA at the time. Even after breaking up, JD and Linda stayed close, and he credits her for helping his career.
